What would a good response time be for a 42 in 1080p lcd tv?

The typical response time is around 6.5ms for a 1080p set, from some of the sets I have compared when deciding on a set for myself.  I have seen some brands with anywheres from 2 to 5 ms response time which is really good.  Brands from Sony to Vizio.  

But check on the refresh rate of  the set itself.  Some have a good response time but still have a refresh rate of 60 Hz.  They have refresh rates of 120 Hz and when I watched a sports game on that one, OMG.  It makes a world of difference.  And from what I've read, they are coming out with sets with up to 240 Hz. But that type of Tech is pricey. It makes a difference if you want the set used for online gaming, sports or movies.

The best way to find out is to see it for yourself at a electronics store to make the best decision.
