What would a good school name be?

For my story, I need to have a name for a high school, any ideas?

Why not make the name a clue to what's going to happen in the story?  Something the alert reader can pick up on.  E.g. if the story will be about vampires, why not make it the "Abraham Stoker High" (being the full name of Bram Stoker, who wrote Dracula)?  Or if it were about the search for a perfect state of living that can never be achieved, "Thomas More High" (who wrote "Utopia", about a fictional perfect country).  (I don't know what your story will be about, so I'm trying to guess things that might be useful to you).  Or if it were about state-sponsored spying on people in a police state, "Eric Blair High School" (Eric Blair being George Orwell's real name).

Well, hope that helped - it's the sort of trick I like to do when I'm writing.

I'd just say play around with different high school names that you know of... like people have said before... landmarks, famous people's names, and town names make good high school titles.

Well you gonna pick a name that feels like a high school. The idea given above about getting a hitch about the story is great! Most schools also tends to have either the name of the area theyre in or the main thing theyre do in the title like Centucky drama school or Capitol high or Beverly Hills high. So use your knowledge of what kind of school youre writing about or what area it in and youre a bit on the way. Johan.
