I was rear-ended by an eighteen year old doing 35-40MPH. There was about $3000 damage done to my year and a half HHR. The insurance company said they would take care of my bills at first, after several months I found out not. Most pain was in my neck and hips. I apparently bit down on my jaw and shattered one of my teeth and root, resulting in tooth removal and replacement with an implant. I missed three days of work to visit the dentist, still need to go again to have the final crown installed on the tooth. My bills so far have totaled about $5000.00. Thanks

  1. Do yourself a favor and get an attorney.

The proper settlement will be the amount to make you whole again.

  2. One thing to remember is that you may have future problems from this accident such as back pain etc.  so take that in consideration. It would probably be best to get a lawyer.

  3. You spent three whole days at the dentist?  That's amazing.  And not very believable.

Any settlement is going to depend on what state you live in, and the tort options.  I don't think you'll get much in pain and suffering, if anything at all.
