  1. I agree with Lance. The pipe itself will do a little, but really exhaust and intake both need to be upgraded to see any real difference. The air filter is pretty cheap so just get a K&N or Twin Air filter, add the FMF pipe and have the shop jet it properly for you. You should see a nice little increase in pep.

  2. give it more HP (around 10 mph) and it sounds cooler ;)

  3. I wouldnt do anything past a pipe, k&n air filter and a jet kit, anything past that on a ttr230 wont be worth it. then you should move on to a yz250

  4. I had the same bike and tried buying an fmf pipe for it, It gave it a little more power and made it sound a bit louder but other than that it didn't do to much. It wasn't really worth the money.

You can only do so much to a TTR to make it better (wasted my money on other stuff and the pipe and found out the hard way). Your best bet would be to just Sell it and get a YZ250F.

I wouldnt advise geting a YZ250 two stroke, That would probably be a bit much moving off a TTR.  Go to your dealer and test drive a YZ250F and you will see what I mean.

  5. Make it sound and look awesome. Also it will make it alittle faster.
