  1. Here's an idea if you're at the beach.  Get a metal detector (or borrow one or rent one) and then talk to a lifeguard to rope off a small area of beach.  Go into the roped off area and bury your ring in the sand.  Not too deep, or you won't find it easily!!!  Then take your future fiancee to the beach and go to the roped-off area.  Make sure the area is near the lifeguard, so that you can take away the ropes and still know where you buried it.  Call the lifeguard and have him remove the ropes ahead of time.  As you take her along, sweep the metal detector back and forth, and after a few minutes or so, go to the roped-off area and start sweeping around.  "Say, look what I found!"  That's your opportunity.

  2. Get her a bouquet of flowers and place the ring in one of them. Ask her to smell that particular flower. If she doesn't notice it, ask her to open it up.

Or you could do something that would mean something to both of you (more on her part). Only you will know that answer.

  3. well you could take her out to country side maybe just pretend it's a normal vacation (wouldn't be too expensive if you stayed within the country) and maybe take her out on a picnic while there be sure to pick a nice view of the wide open plains or rolling hills and wait for night to fall, you can see so many stars in the country.

  4. Do something she really wants to do like skydiving and put the proposal into that. Or you could go and do something she really likes (Spa, horse back riding, dinner) and  afterwards go to a lake or beautiful forest area and propose under the stars. That's really romantic to propose under the stars. Good luck!!!

  5. I read these questions all the time- so many are SO LAME!

If my boyfriend proposed at a sporting event- or on the beach with a metal detector or especially put my ring in food or champagne I would kill him!

I think girls expect their proposal to be romantic and special- as for me I expect nothing less!

There are lots of local destinations that have carriage rides..have a ride set up to a park or fountain with roses and candles. For me I always lean towards nature related ideas- waterfalls, parks ect.

I love scavenger hunt ideas ...

or something like a backyard surprise with wooden letters??

I saw the cutest video on you tube of a guy who had his GF meet him out at a campsite ..there were arrows that lead her to a field with a big box...it had a levee. She pulled the rope and he was on bended knee!

    Good luck

  6. It honestly doesnt matter! Movies and TV glam it up waaaay too much!

I was just asked last night and it wasn't anything over the top at all but it was still the most special moment of my life!

Just be sincere, thats all that really matters!

If you insist of being cheesy mccheeserson, I heard an idea before of the guy sending a mock wedding invitation to his girlfriend. When she got it she was a little disappointed because she thought "oh great another friends wedding" but when she opened it it had thier names on it and he had the ring ready for her once she was done reading it!

    Good luck! :)

  7. put a ring inside a box of chocolates and give the box of chocolates with a bouquet of flowers

    GOOD LUCK!=D

  8. learn how to spell it first!

  9. You should kiss her and hold on to her hands then have the ring out and put it on her hand.

  10. Take her out for a nice dinner, then go to some other romantic place (walk through the park at night, a botanical garden) then go home (or to a hotel room) and have the place lit up with candles and flowers and champagne/wine.  Then play her a video of all the pictures and video clips of you and her together, and in the background have a romantic song playing. At the end of the video ask her to marry you.

If you want any other ideas check out the internet. There are a ton of sites out there.

  11. well my fiancé and I have known each other for 10 years. We went to high school together. When we were younger, we used to take my younger siblings to this same park all the time. We would hang out and talk and let the kids play. Well, a few weeks ago, he took me and our kids there for an afternoon and while I was sitting watching the kids, he told me he left something in the car. When he came back, he tapped me on the shoulder and was down on one knee holding a ring. It was simple and it meant the world that he would do it at "our" park.

  12. 1) Take her to her favourite restaurant and make sure to ask the waiter to maybe put the ring in her wine glass, on her plate or maybe come out and say "Dessert is served" with a big cover over the plate. When the cover is removed the ring should be on the plate. Then get down on one knee and propose.

2)Take her to her favourite place to be (zoo/aquarium, theatre, beach etc.) and let her do whatever she wants to do most of the day. Then just before you are about to leave, propose to her.

3)Take her to a sports event, and ask ahead of time if you could have your proposal on the jumbo tron at half-time. Go to her work and make the proposal on the PA system.

    GOOD LUCK!

  13. Do a random day:

    I heard this story once.

Man and woman go out to dinner dressed up. He has a string hanging from his shirt and asks her to pull it off. When she pulls it the ring is attached to the end.

  14. Propose her on her birthday. Give her the ring as a present.

  15. There's a lot of fun ways to do it. Have a pro. photographer on the scene, tell her you want to get some pro. pics taken, then half way through the shoot, pop the question, he photographer will be there capturing the special moment, then you'll have pics to send to people, or put in the paper, as engagement pics! Or you could go to a concert of some sort, maybe at a fair and have someone announce it, or ask if you could go up on stage and ask. Just start thinking about something that would completely shock her. My husband did a kind of scavenger hunt, where I found different things to do with weddings, at the end I found him on one knee with the ring! It was lots of fun!

  16. i say take her to a ring shop let her look at rings she likes then when she picks one ask someone to take it out then put it on her fingure and purpose.

    Hope it works out!

  17. You could:

Get her away from the house for a while [have the parents take her somewhere, to go grocery shopping or something] and while she is away you could place a big banner on the house or building where you are going to meet up later that says, MARRY ME.

You could call a favorite radio station of yours and ask them beforehand to play you guyses song, if you have one. Tell the DJ that at a certain time to say something like, this is for _______[gf]. ________[your name] wants to know if you would marry her. Then take her on a road trip and while you are listening to the radio station she will hear it. Try taking her to a spot that is familiar and loved by both of you, like maybe the first time you met or the first date you went on.

Log on to Shutterfly and make a photo book. Tell the story of you and your sweetie with photos and text. The last photo should be of you, the caption is the proposal.

Draw her a nice bubble bath complete with bubbles, oil, scented candles...the works. Float a message in a bottle with the proposal on it.

Cook a romantic dinner at home and plan some slow dancing after dessert. For late night entertainment, screen a slide show you’ve put together that includes favorite photos of the two of you. The last few are of you holding up a series of signs that tell her how crazy you are about her, the last one has the proposal written on it.

I hope this helped and gave you a few ideas of your own.

    Just remember to be yourself!

    Good luck, and blessed be!

    Clara.

  18. i think you should do it in front of her family at the best party ever she could go to. set the best date, and the best place say, her home town and make it the best surprise ever. believe me it will work.
