I've been playing guitar for 2 years, and now I've decided I want to learn to play the trumpet. What would you suggest to be a good beginners trumpet?

  1. A good beginner's trumpet is made by Bach/Selmer and sells for $250 roughly. Note that they have a student price that will sell this trumpet for under $190. You can get a little cheaper but you will sacrifice quality and sound just to save $50.

    Not worth it.

  2. Hi there...  Good Sunday to you!!   I can recommend three very nice beginner trumpet brands, from reputable manufacturers... which have been making trumpets for a long time.

    1.  King 603

    2. Yamaha 2321

    2. Bach

The King is going to be gold/brass, but if you like silver,  I think you can get the Yamaha and Bach in silver as well as the gold brass.   Try looking in craigslist . org in your city or on eBay for used trumpets at good prices.  You will see some trumpet prices for as little as $99.00 there, I am sure,  but these are the chinese made crummy horns.  STAY away from those.   Also the mouthpiece?   A Vincent Bach 7C.

Hope that helps.  Thanks for reading.
