I'm making a two layered wedding cake. The bottom layer, is a red velvet cake, with traditional cream cheese frosting...the top layer, the groom wants white cake. I don't really want to fill it with cream cheese as well...I would like something bold and preferably red, to go with the red velvet, but we don't want fruit or preserves. Have any idea's?

  2. Uhm, I can't think of anything but strawberry and raspberry, but you say you don't want fruits...

    What about red m&m's? :P

  3. raspberry would taste gorgeous and look beautiful

  4. maybe try like a strawberry whipped frosting. or pick any frosting of your choice but have the baker dye it red with food coloring. they will be happy to do that for you :-)  you dont want the filling to be too bold because you dont want it overwhelming the cake itself! good luck with the wedding :-)

  5. Habanero and rhubarb jam.

That's some good stuff there Maynard!
