What would be a good business idea that can be started with relatively small investment? ($5K-$10K)?

I'm open to all ideas but retail would be preferable.

  1. why are you so concerned about owning a business?

    you should only start a business if you have recognized an opportunity that you are well qualified to fill first.

    you're putting the cart in front of the horse, in my opinion.


  2. hmm...that is a fairly small amount of capital to begin with

    just think about what people need...start there

    right now...not too many people are going for retail.  In fact the retail market is getting crushed.  It may not be the best time for that...but then again....often when things are done, is the best time to act.
