What would be a good business to start that would not take to mush money to start?

the easiest thing to do/sell is anything that you can do yourself... can you play music, make jewelery, write short stories? first assess what you can do find a market that is in need of your talent and make it happen. GOOD LUCK!

From my personal experience, the best type of business to start is with a product that is in high demand, such as the telecommunications industry.  My husband and I partnered up with a 15 year old company that Donald Trump endorsed, uses the products and is highly involved.  He's an incredible individual!  Anyhow, the largest direct selling telecommunications service provider in the world.  They market in services that people use every day and pay for anyway.  Such as Local and Long distance telephone services, Internet services, digital and video phone services, Satellite TV, VOIP an all the major celluar phone providers have partnered up with them as well.  We basically save people money on services that they are already using and paying for, help people on new services, and every month these people pay their bills, we make a percentage month after month.  Everyone is always going to use some sort of telecommunications services, so it's high in demand.  Making money from services people are already using as well as new services.  That to me is a good business to start and it doesn't take a lot to start one up.

You may want to start an online store focusing on a niche product market. All you would have to do is register your business name, obtain a sales tax license (resellers license), contact and sign up with distributors, build your site, then market your site and start selling... It's really not that hard and start up cost are very low.
