  1. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think "lite lavender" (# 6554) might look pretty.

You can also take a photo of your room & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  2. do NOT paint it orange. we made that mistake. it looked TERRIBLE. depending on the size of the room, you would want to paint it lighter for a smaller space. that will make it seem airier and bigger. if you want a large space to seem cozy, paint it darker.

I would say some form of chocolate brown. a rich, dark shade of that looks amazing and just makes you feel good. if your room is small, go with a creme shade.

    good luck!

  3. Do you have a theme? If not,go with a seaside beach theme.Paint your walls a creamy yellow,go to behr.com explore color, click on start color smart, then yellow family.Top role #2rich creme,#1pineapple fizz, click arrow over to the left 1x top role #3lively yellow,#2lightweight beige. Then click arrow over to the right 4x top role #2pale daffodil.Add lots of beach decor, signs, seashells, starfish, fish nets, coral, etc. Go to SeasideInspired.com,PoshLiving.com and Coastaldetail.com for beach decor.Use bamboo shades and sheer curtains on windows, get an area rug with blues and yellows in it to pull the colors together. You can get area rugs at PlazaRugs.com.If you don't go with a beach theme, here are some colors to match your couch:yellows, beige's,tans and light browns or chocolate brown. If you go with a brown color, paint only one wall brown and the other 3 walls a beige or tan.Good luck and I hope this helps.

  4. a mocha brow; it's neutral and a  good backdrop colour. the chocolate and blue may be a little dated, but still nice, too
