What would be a good cruise for 5 kids and 2 adults?

It's going to be expensive, no matter what line you take, because you'll need at least two cabins, if not three - unless of course you get a suite that can hold seven people.

In addition to the cruise fare itself, you'll have the expense of getting to the port, tips of $10/person/day, costs of excursions in the different ports, costs for sodas/liquor....  It can add up fast.

Disney would be good, except it's one of the more-expensive lines.  Carnival will probably be your best value.  Royal Caribbean is supposed to be good for kids, but it's more expensive than Carnival, food/service aren't as good and the rooms are smaller.

Leave the kids with their grandparents and go with just your husband!  Serious.. why would you want to take 5 kids on a cruise???  I couldn't imagine it.  But if you insist.. take them on a Disney cruise if they're of the right age.  You can even leave the kids at activities so the parents can have some together time.

Royal Caribbean is the best.  The voyage class ship are the idea for everyone especially kids.  Once my son was on one of those ships he will  not go any other.  Equipped for kids and adults...Ice skating on board....mountain climbing....putt putt.

I AM TAKING MY CHILDREN ON A CARNIVAL CRUISE NEXT MONTH, AND THEY HAVE DAY CAMPS, DISCOS FOR TEENS THE WATER PARK ON THE LIDO DECK. FORGET WHAT ANYONE SAYS TO YOU, THERE IS PLENTY FOR THEM TO DO WHILE YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND RELAX! THEY WILL BE WELL TAKEN CARE OF. I WOULD MOST DEFINITELY DO CARNIVAL AS THEY OFFER MORE FOR KIDS. HAVE A WONDERFUL FAMILY VACATION:)
