Question:

What would be a good diet for an athlete who wants to lose some weight and tone up?

i've been playing sports my entire high school career, and for my senior year i want to have the best physical conditon yet. what i have been doing is eating large amounts of starches when i get into training, basically a lot of pasta with butter 4 times a week. i can't really help what i eat during lunch, but is there some things i can do that will drop me down about 10 lbs? i'm 5'10", weighing 150.

  1. keep your protein pretty high, your good carbs moderate, and the fat and sodium low.

    Though if your just wanting to lose 10lbs.  I suggest focusing on exercise, not diet.   Also at your age calories are burned like a Forrest fire!  lol  

    So instead of looking at food, add more exercise in.   :D  good luck!
