  1. Depends on your age i guess. my 7 year old got a bike when he was 5 and it was a 50 but now he is to big for it and rides to good for it. My 16 year old got his when he was 14 and it was a 230 perfect for him at the time but  now to big for it and to good for it.

  2. a yamaha 50 peewee dirtbike

  3. Depending on how old the beginner is. If a child then a PeeWee 50. If an adult probably a Crf150 or a Yzf250 4 stroke.

  4. well it all depends on ur height.

    try a yamaha ttr 230 or 250

but also a honda crf150f is good too.

i don't really recommend any yamaha that is a YZ those are racing bikes that go super fast.

    hoped this helped!

    Im sure this help you.

Also, if you post these kind of questions in the General Motorcycle section rather then the RACING section, you get alot alot more feedback.

  7. I think that a 1979-81 Yamaha IT 125 or 175 would be pefect as a beginners bike. The Yamaha YZ's and Suzuki RM's have "peaky" power bands, meaning you have to keep the throttle wide open to take advantage of the power they have. Most beginners aren't comfortable with riding fast and so a bike with more torque at lower RPM's is easy to ride and much more forgiving for beginners. The IT is a good solid bike and is designed for off-road riding on the mountain trails, has a good monoshock rear suspension and handles very well. And like I said, it's a great bike for the beginning riders and even some women racers I know because you can lug it at lower RPM's. I stripped the light and speedo off my 1980 IT 125, slapped on a front number plate, took it racing and won a series championship on it..
