  1. A gift card to a Starbucks would be fine, if you know your teacher drinks coffee.

  2. Don't give pens, picture frames, coffee mugs, or baskets full of cookies. They are way too overdone. Try something different like gift card to clothing store or something. *not a teacher yet, but working on becoming one*

  3. East or west Flowers are the best..........................

  4. Gift cards, gift cards, gift cards!!!  If you're not sure which one to purchase you can always purchase a pre-loaded Visa and then your teacher can buy what s/he wants where s/he wants.

When I used to teach I thought I gag if I got another mug, frame, ornament etc... with anything pertaining to being the "worlds greatest teacher".  I appreciated the fact that the student/parent cared enough to purchase me a gift but after the first couple of years of teaching you get pretty tired of those things.

If you really like your teacher and s/he has done a great job this year then write a letter to the principal, the school board, the school superintendent or who ever.  Make sure you tell them how this teacher has positively influenced your life etc..... and how grateful you are to that teacher and that you just wanted them to know what a great job s/he is doing.  Send it and make sure you give a copy to your teacher.  For many that would be one of the greatest gifts they could receive.

  5. I wrote a letter to my teacher telling her how much of an amazing teacher she has been and how much she has improved my confidence. i had a picture of us both so i printed a little one and put it in the letter. She loved it! she said it made her cry haha.

  6. Honestly - A gift card. Starbucks, Safeway or other chain grocery store, Barnes and Noble or other book store are the way to go.

I receive sooooo may homemade goods, mugs, notepads and really can't use anymore.

I would write a genuinely nice card and include a gift card! Those are always my favorite gifts!

  7. Why not make a scrap book with all the photos of the pupils in your class and get them to make a comment next to their own photo!
