What would be a good hotel to stay in Paris for a family of 3?

I have been trying to research hotels but so far I cannot seem to find one that caters to families. I would like a nice hotel and do not wish to spend more than $300.00 a night. It's imperative we find one in a safe neighborhood, preferably in St. Germain des Pres. We would also consider an apartment in this area or in Marais. Does anyone have one they can recommend?

  1. I think your best option may be an apartment in Le Marais/St. Germain des Pres.  You will be best served by Mr. Thierry Faradji at www.parisbestlodge.com, as he has approximately 20 beautiful and reasonable apartments in Paris for weekly rentals (and if you book 7 nights, you will get an 8th night for free).  For example, a beautiful, well-located studio which would accommodate a family of 3 would run you approximately 800 Euros for the week....Tell Monsieur Faradji that I recommended him to you!  He is very accommodating and helpful and will know exactly what to do for your comfort and well-being during your visit to Paris.

  2. I just recently when to Paris and for the first time I stayed in a Studio that I rented through www.lodgis.com...go to furnished rentals.  It came out cheaper than staying at a hotel, plus I had a little kitchen with fridge and dishwasher.  Some even have a little clothes washer.  The only bad thing is that I think you have to stay at least for a week, but it's worth a try.  Everything is done by internet and fax.

  3. i stayed at the Brighton Hotel, rue de Rivoli, accross Les Tuileries (walking distance of Le Louvre and Champs-Elysees)

  4. Hi there,

I recently came across a great website which might help you - http://Paris35.com

Hotels for 35 euro per night, and they also have apartments for similar [and higher] prices, which don't appear on all the other websites for Paris.

You might be able to find something suitable for your family, and if it's an apartment, you will have cooking and washing machine facilities too.

    Good luck!
