What would be a good job for a stay at home mom?

I am looking into getting a job. I have been a stay at home mom for 10 years and I am thinking of going back to work. I still want to be able to care for my kids most of the time. What would be a good job for me to do? I have some college and great people skills. Two of my kids are in school and the 3rd is 1 year old. I think I may like to work nights, do you think this would be too hard? Maybe at Wal-Mart. Anyone going through this same issue? Thanks!!

  3. How about getting your own business started from home! A job that won´t require much investment. Think of all the things you like to do and work on that. There´s nothing more than working on something you like doing. If you like to cook you could sell desserts and deliver. If you like painting you could start a painting class. And there is always the multilevels companies where you sell products and get comission.

The thing with working nights is that you´ll be too tired during the day and you need to stay active for your children and yourself! Take advantage during the day instead of nights. And plus, creating you´re own job, schedule and no boss is the most achieving goal!

  4. Christy, don't even think about working nights.  It would disrupt your whole routine and that of your family. You would be so tired after working all night, it would be so hard taking care of your 1 year old, unless you are thinking of having someone watch her/him while you get some sleep.  I'm no expert, but I rather budget here and there than to mess things up by going to work.  I have three children as well, and a day is not enough to get everything done around the house.  I went back to work for 1 year, and it was the worst year of my life.  My kids were constantly calling me on my cell phone, crying and telling me how my husband was not patient with them.  It was just torture for me.  I had to quit to come back home and keep my home running smooth.  I signed up to be a parent and that's what I have to do.  However, I do understand the need to do something for extra money, don't we all want to do something? let me know if you ever come across anything real.  Iv'e seen so many scams out there for "work-at-home" dream jobs.  Be careful, and enjoy the best job on earth..... Motherhood.
