What would be a good pokemon to be and partner in mystery dungeon 2?

I have beat the game so i restarted and i don't know what pokemon to be or my partner and the name to go to both of them. i am clueless. help?!?

I think you should be Mudkip, and your partner should be Cyndaquil. Mudkip can easily beat ground and rock types (strong against Cyndaquil) and Cyndaquil can beat grass types (strong against Mudkip)

That question really is one of opinion. I personally liked being Treecko with a Totodile. Treecko learned Protect and was challenging enough to keep me entertained, Totodile is brute force and provided good backup. Neither of them learned distance attacks until late in the game: Energy Ball for Treecko (without using a TM) and Hydro Pump for Totodile. That provided another challenge with distance Pokemon. I find any pokemon works as long as your partner can cover your weaknesses. So if you're a fire type, have a grass type partner, water/fire, and grass/water. If you're a normal type any partner type works, if you're Pikachu I suggest Water or Grass. I can't help you with names though, I suck at names.
