I'll play league now but want to join union and i was wondering what would be a good position for me?

I play a bit of centre and some times a bit of eighth.

I'm 155 cm last time i checked if that helps and I'm thirteen next year.

  1. i would say center flanker number 8 or second row.

  2. Surely you've got a long way to go since youre still 12 years!! But i advice you to stick to league for a little while, say 2 to 3 years to get the hang of it..... Coz i tell you the truth that league is tougher than union... I play rugby union but also league sometimes..... Once you've got the strength

and fitness level needed for league then you can switch to union.. You have to determine your position in league first... Determine where you play, on centre, left or right, or on first

five or even on half back... When you switch to rugby union, if you are good in breaking lines in league on centre, i would definitely put you on second five... If your playmaking skills are good, then what's stopping you from playing on flyhalf? If you are good in tackling and pretty swift, i will put you on wing.... You've got so many options and that is why i said you have to determine your position on league first....

  3. Ask your coach when you move to union.  Flanker or in the backs I would say.

  4. nedd more info.

I am 5'8 and played hooker scrummy and wing.

  5. Just get along to the club and talk to the coaches. There are all sorts of things that will determine where your ideal position would be.

  6. Pretty vague. You cant really expect people to make a judgment just by saying your 155cm tall.
