  1. It totally depends, does she have any hobbies, get her something akin to that, or you can go with a gift card to her favorite store.


  2. It's a little tricky-not knowing her age but jewellery is always acceptable and although maybe unoriginal do look on e bay.You can find lovely antique brooches,bracelets,earrings and at a price to suit.

    Also on e bay (no I'm not on commission) are short breaks offered by hotels in a variety of locations.Pool cash with other relatives and send Mum packing!! She'd appreciate the break.

    Beauty treatment at a health spa for a day.Let her get pampered.Not huge money but again get others to chip in if necessary.

      

  3. You don't mention her age or interests and whether you live near each other.

    You've gotten a lot of good answers.  Here's my two cents.

    You could get her a certificate to: get her hair done at her favorite hairdresser's, a manicure and pedicure or get a good massage.

    How about treating her to dinner at her favorite restaurant and giving her a nice card?  She'd probably like spending time with you most of all.

    If you're not in the same area as she is, a bouquet of flowers is always nice.  You could also send a fruit basket. My mom loves both of those.

    Whatever you do, if you do it thoughtfully with love, I don't think you can go wrong.  Send her a nice card no matter what you decide.  The fact that you thought enough to post this question, tells me you're going to do just fine with a present and mom will be happy.  Imho, it is the thought that counts, and you've already shown you're giving this a lot of thought.
