If you don't work with infants in this age bracket, or have children of your own, you need not answer. Thanks!

  2. i would say taking a nap for 3 hours lol idk they're babies geez!

  3. I have used high chairs as mini water tables.  put warm water in it with a few floating links and they splash and mouth the links or other toys.

  4. If you are talking about an Art activity keep in mind that babies that young cannot form the intent of producing anything that represents some thing else. They are interested in the process and the materials, not a finished product so avoid anything that you have to do for them to make it "look right" or anything that requires you to manipulate their hands to get results-avoid babies as tools. Also be very careful if they still put things in their mouths,

One of my favorite things to do involves a big piece of contac paper taped to the wall and a basket of safe things to stick on it. The babies enjoy the magic of it all.  The older ones might enjoy fat pieces of chalk and big pieces of black paper to scribble on. On warm sunny days the older infants might like to paint with water and big paintbrushes on the walls and sidewalks outside.

Most of the Art people do with infants is really inappropriate. If the baby doesn't understand the concept of Xmas tree he should not be asked to decorate a pre-cut tree. Stick to sensory activities and don't worry about a finished product.

  5. Collect a bunch of the cardboard paper towel rolls, toilet paper rolls, or the rolls from wrapping paper----all different sizes. Place them in a laundry basket or different sized boxes---they can play with something so simple forever!

Get a tunnel or large box with the ends open and have them take turns crawling through.

Collect empty oatmeal containers (the large round ones with a lid) and put different items in them that make noise when shaken. Have music time!!

  6. my daughter thought it was fun to play with her cereal. so I added a little food coloring one day and we painted with that.

  7. Project?  What type of project could an infant/toddler possibly complete with no complex hand/eye coordination?  Perhaps you are using an incorrect noun to describe what you are meaning.

  8. r u kidding? maybe to find out who can suck their thumbs the longest !

  9. Putting things in containers and taking (usually by dumping) them out and the variations are endless:

Bean Bags, very large fuzzy pom poms, toy blocks, beanie baby sized animals  and ping pong balls fit nicely into shoe boxes, drawers, baskets, or old handbags.

A favorite activity in the  Parent-Child class I used to teach was dropping poker chips or straight wooden clothespins into a plastic water cooler bottle or a large plastic jug.
