I like to knit but in the summer I'm too busy so whats a good way to store all of my knitting stuff thats bug proof and not too bulky? I don't have much space so I'm not sure where I can put it so any creative solutions would be appreciated.

  1. suitcases, and I store them under the beds. Bug proof.

shoe bags.  They are not bug proof unless you put 4 moth balls inside each pocket.  Shoe bags can then be hung over the door or on the door.

If you are lucky to have an empty chest of drawers then store yarn and needles, etc inside the drawers.

  2. under tha bed boxes plus u kan store uther stuff w/ it

  3. Hi:

Go to Hobbie Lobby or any store and look for plastic storage box9 The clear kind are good for this. any basket will work for this Both wooden and plastic to determen what you need ask yourself the following:

How many shien of yard am I going to need or have on hand

ease of getting knitting needles and such supplies?

Amount of space to put it in?

  4. I use those underbed plastic storage bins and put some cedar balls in them. No bugs.

  5. I have pegboards up on one wall and I hang my tote bag collection, full of craft supplies.

both are similar, but it helped with me and i really like the idea, hope you like it too :)

  7. I use plastic zip-top bags -- big ones.  You can now get 2.5-gallon bags in some brands.  They hold yarn well, and keep bugs out very nicely if you double bag everything.

  8. I use an old cedar chest I've had for years. I keep blankets in it. And my yarn fits in all nice and snug as well. Except I can't get to it right now as my cat decided to have her kittens yesterday in a box that's sitting on top of it. I'll move them tomorrow.

I also keep yarn (with a few cedar balls) in my empty suitcases. I have quite a stash of yarn that I've collected over the years.
