What would be a good system for around $400 with good bass??

Probably Phoenix Gold RSD sub...single for the money...RSDC's are abit more powerful....and might be a good sub to get over the RSD.  The RSDC's are turning out to be a pretty hot sub!  

But the big question is when you mean good system do you mean deck also?  Because that would be pretty hard with a budget like that.  You can probably buy a cheaper deck...125-200 range...

an RSDC 12" Sub runs about 125 on ebay. but you still need a decent amp.  Suggest at least a Phoenix Gold RSD 600.1, but 1200.1 would be best.  But on your budget 600.1 would be the way to go.  IF the deck choice didnt matter I'd suggest going 1200.1.

Some other alternatives to the subwoofers but would be more costly but more powerful bass, RE Audio, x*x line or MX line, DD audio, most of their upper level subs are amazing, Fi BL or BTL lines are insane!  Their Q series sub is amazing for Sound Quality as well as bass.  So kinda depends on what you want in "Good bass"  Good bass as in quality?  or Good bass and in LOUD!

Two kicker comp subs with a kicker zx300.1 amp and a box will cost at least $100 the subs on ebay would be $100 with shipping and the amp would be $100 with shipping thats $300 dollars and a really good system and a kit to hook it up would be like maybe $50 and make sure u get a good box, and it will be loud with a lot of bass and, sound good, too.
