    you will need 2 litres of water plus other fluids

    you should eat 5 - 7 times a day if u can lite snacks

    protein should be eaten with your carbs to release your carbs more gradually

    protein especially and alway after playing to recover your muscles from the work they did...

  3. You really just want to focus on getting a balanced diet. Unless you are going through intense conditioning everyday the two best things you can do for your diet are eating healthy and keeping hydrated.

    As old school as it seems print yourself out a copy of the food pyramid (the department of agriculture now has a customizable chart for age, weight, exercise level etc). Break your meals in to 6 small meals rather than 3 or less large ones. Nutritionists now say this is the best way to keep your body fed and keeping your metabolism high. This would mean light breakfast (snack) lunch (snack) dinner (snack). Invest in fruits, vegetables and plenty of whole grains. Eating 1 or 2 big meals a day puts your body in a 'Feast and Famine" scenario where your metabolism slows to adjust for the absence of food.

    Hydration: Divide your weight by 2 and that is approximately your ideal water intake in ounces daily. Meaning if you weigh 150lb 150 / 2 = 75 oz of water a day. Additionally for athletic hydration you should drink roughly a full bottle of water 1 hour before heavy physical activity (called prehydrating) and 1 cup of water per 20 minutes of exercise thereafter. Avoid sugary drinks like Gatorade and Powerade. They are ok if you have already exercised for at least an hour. Smart Water is a great alternative to sugary drinks like those.
