  1. Do you have to have a "theme"? Why don't you just incorporate blue and gold, blue and silver, blue and ivory, whatever, decorations throughout the church and reception. Themes get complicated and expensive, and are really corny.

  2. Where will the wedding be taking place?

I think it would be beautiful to have snowflakes as a major part of your decor!  Silver would also be a GREAT color next to the Blue velvet!  I think lots of candles decorating the reception site would set a romantic feel!

Theme could be "Falling for You"  (falling like the snowflakes)

Favors could be Snowflake shaped ornaments...

    Good Luck!

  3. winter wonderland

    blue moon

  4. Febuary is known as valentines month stay far away from red and white colors every one and there mom will be using these tackey colors that month.  Maybe a lite blue  with ur snowflake theme will work !

  5. do a titanic theme! You know, like the blue heart diamond neclace, water, fog....Like a captain's night at the titanic... (Before it sunk, of course!)

That's what came to mind when you said blue velvet....

  6. flowers and snow

  7. What do you need a "theme" for?  Are you trying to find flower ideas?  Favor ideas?  I would look to what colors you are having in your wedding - blue & ??

  8. The first thing that I think of for a Feb. wedding is Valentines Day , and I think of red velvet, or if you already have the dresses ordered, use deep red roses for the flowers.

  9. I think that the snowflake theme sounds nice. You could also due a "Starry Nights" or Celestial theme. You could pair the blue with silver and/or gold stars.

For your centerpieces you could sdo something like this:

  10. My wedding was in February, and we used midnight blue and silver, sprinkled little silver snowflakes on the tables, had Christmas lights up, had a midnight blue runner instead of white, all white flowers, evening ceremony, etc. It all came together well and looked classic and beautiful.

If you want an actual "theme" you could use snowflakes, winter wonderland, starry night...

Another scheme I think works well for winter is navy blue with purple accents like plums, darks raspberrys, dark lavender, etc. That will make it a lot easier for you to use more colorful flowers if that is important to you as dark blue flowers are very hard to find.

    Good luck with yours!

  11. I've never been sure why weddings need themes ... but, I think you should go with the silver snowflakes

  12. You don't necessarily need a theme.  Then you won't be under pressure to have every single thing match with the same little pattern or something.  Just pick colours and stick with those, you'll save the headache and cost of having to stick to a specific theme.

  13. I like the winter wonderland and the starry night both

  14. You might want to get some cool wedding invitations with snow flakes. You can get some wedding cakes with nice flakes too.

And you should consider getting some nice wedding favors that can complement ur theme.

    Good luck :)
