  1. This study has already been done, but something to the effect that children with better language skills tend to have fewer behavior problems.

Are you looking for a research study to do?

Teaching children functional language such as to gain access to preferred items or escape perceived difficult aversive activities will result in less problem behavior.

Or teaching functional language will result in more spontaneous use of language versus teaching simply labels or vocabulary.

Also think about including "language" to include non-verbal language such as PECs or sign language, gestures etc.

  2. Positive Language supports individuals on the Autism Spectrum

  3. Just a reminder when writing a thesis...make sure you use person-first language.  There is no such thing as autistic children, they are children with autism.  They are children first, then autistic.
