  1. 100 fc   -      >1:05

    200 fc   -      >2:15

    400fc    -      >4:30

  2. I would say a good time would be about 2:30 am providing that the 15 year old is awake and in the water.

  3. When ever they feel like they can swim it!

  4. Here are some times from a 13 year old on our team who's a really good swimmer and maybe you can get these times too...

    100m free - 1:04

    200m free - 2:17

    400m free - 4:52

  5. Good Time is relative. What do you consider good?

A PR(Personal Record) or BT (best time) would be good times.

i.e. If my BT/PR was a 1:05 then 1:04 would be a good time. If my BT/PR was 54.0 then a 1:04 would not be a good time.

To determine what a good time is for a 15 YO I'd start with

1.) what does the 15 YO want to accomplish

2.) Where is this 15 YO going to be swimming

    These could be examples:

    A good summer league swimmer:

    100 M free  1:15

    200 M free  2:45

    400 M free  6:00

A good US HS district swimmer:

    100 M free  1:00

    200 M free  2:15

    400 M free  4:50

A good US HS state swimmer:

    100 M free  54

    200 M free  2:05

    400 M free  4:25

A good US HS National swimmer:

    100 M free  50

    200 M free  1:51

    400 M free  3:55

    A good Olympic Swimmer:

    100 M free  48

    200 M free  1:45

    400 M free  3:45

    World Record holder:

    100 M free  47.2

    200 M free  1:42

    400 M free  3:41

You'll need to be more detailed about what you think 'good' means.

Hope these different times are helpful.
