  1. How about painting it flat black?

  2. use 2 coats of Rustolium spray paint.

  3. Use WD40 or other oil to keep it from rusting more.

Have you tried LCR cleaner or Brillo pads, then if all else

fails add either the rubber handlebar  coaters

for bigger bikes it should cover a trike all the way or wrap

it with the cute tape! Or even Electrical tape.

Heat set tape is also a option it is just set with

a hot hair dryer it get tight and stays put.

    Good Luck.

P.S. Don't let baby eat or chew on it because or tetanus.

  4. Go get it sand blasted and then buffer polish it with the finest grit you can find.

If you don't need the metal  look, just buffer polish it with a 600 metal grit disk and put 2 coats of metal primer (car body primer) and then 2 shots of spray paint with a final coat of clear polyurethane spray varnish.

  5. buy him a new one . tightwad
