  1. depending if you wanted to cook or not.. you could do a pot roast in a c**k pot with potatoes and carrots and have a side salad with rolls and do a store bought cake or pie

  2. Turkey Sandwiches with french fries (or potato chips) & brownies!

  3. Sunday & chicken just go together!

    Simple Menu

Chicken salad sandwiches - My favorite sandwich is stacked like this: white bread, chicken salad, wheat bread, deli ham, mustard, white bread.  Cut them diagniolly to make triangle shaped quarters.

    Dill pickle spears

    Chips

    Fruit salad

    Iced tea

Step It Up A Notch Menu

Grilled boneless, skinless chicken breast (marinate in italian dressing)

    Fresh corn on the cob

    Steamed brocolli

Strawberry shortcake made with angel food cake

    Iced tea of coffee

    All Out Menu

Oven baked chicken - place chicken breast in roaster pan with about an inch of water, sprinkle generously with Lawry Season Salt, bake on 350 for about 45 minutes, bake uncovered for additional 15-20 minutes to crisp skin

    Mashed potatoes

    Fresh bean beans

Triple chocolate cake-chocolate cake, chocolate frosting, chocolate shavings on top

    Soda or coffee

  4. Oriental smoked salmon salad for the main course..... yummy

  5. pork roast, mashed potatoes, corn, and for dessert tier mi-sue.

  6. My family does brunch 4 times a year.  My fav is when my big bro makes Eggs Benedict, side of fruit with nice fruit drinks and maybe some light cookies or small muffins.

  7. alfedo with salad oh, and with a lit candle with a man or women. :)

  8. I WOULD CHOOSE A QUICHE LORRAINE, A GARDEN SALAD AND LEMON-AIDE or PLUM WINE (if you're into alcohol)

FOR DESSERT, STRAWBERRIES ROMANOFF (easy and incredily delicious)

  9. for main course...steak with gravy....and for dessert,....chocolate ice cream with melted chocolate on top....because its gonna be hot on sunday...

  10. Go to food network for complete meal plans. I particularly like Paula Deen, if you like southern cooking. Her meals are straightforward and easy to prepare.  Some of the others are a little exotic.

  11. well u can make sandwiches like turkey, ham, chicken or veggie sandwiches and have a nice COLD drink!

  12. a nice lunch at the beach or the park

  13. http://www.foodandwine.com/entertaining/...

*Make a whole chicken.. but some country herbs.. slow cook it, and put some onions and green peppers in or Lemon slices..

*you can do mashed potatos or macaroni and cheese..

Or you can be a true southern

Make fried chicken mashed potatos, biscuits..

    ***********************************

Or you can just be simple.. and do a hors de vours.. do crackers.. differnt sliced meats.. cut up fruit and veggies with a chocolate caramel or ranch dip somtehing of that extenst

  20. Check the local markets to see what produce is in season.  Not only will the produce be perfect but the price will also be lower.  Right now, it's asparagus and strawberries.  So, I'd suggest, as something elegant but easy:

Bake chicken breast with salt and pepper (usually 350F for 20 min, depending on thickness).  When its almost done top with a slice of ham and swiss cheese, take out when cheese is melted.  Serve it with mayonaise and mustard mixed together.  Very simple and everyone loves it.

Asparagus is very easy to cook, you can either steam or microwave.  Then add a small amount of butter before serving.

Rice or a nice french bread completes the meal.

For drinks, memosas are fun.  1/2 champagne 1/2 orange juice.

For desert...anything with strawberries.  Sliced pound cake topped with strawberries and whipped cream is great.

The whole meal will be eye appealing, not take all day and your guests will love it.
