What would be a typical day of a paranormal investigator?

Any investigative appointment would have been made earlier in the month.

If the investigation is done on a day where most investigators are off, we go to the site early on, check out the background of the house or building, and take a short tour of the area.

Then when it's near the time of the appointment, we contact the owner and go from there.

Any other day of the week, or month, we go to work like everyone else does.

This is just a hobby of ours.

Since the only people who get paid to do it are television stars and Joe Nickel, the day of the average paranormal investigator would involve going to their real job and then 'investigating' after dinner.

Day of investigation:

I get up,get my coffee, get on the computer and look up information on the site we are investigating. When I get all the info I write my report and send it to the head of our group to make copies for the evening meeting. We meet at a restaurant close to the investigation site have a short meeting to go over the history of the site.We get to the site an hour and a half before investigation time to meet with the resident and take a tour do some pre-investigation checks while the lights are still on. Set up our equipment,investigate for a few hours,then go home.

The next few days is going over the collected recording and materials in our spare time sending suspect findings to our group leader.

Other than that I do everyday things just like you.

Well, I have been a paranormal investigator for 6 years and the typical day is just like yours, I'm sure. I wake up, go to work, go home and about once or twice a week, we investigate. Get all the gear together, go to the place, and do our stuff for a few hours. Then go home and go to sleep. Paranormal investigators are mostly blue collar regular people, except the "stars" whom there are very very very few of.
