That's difficult to answer as long as we don't know the "crime". But generally, for serious misbehavior age 7, 11 and 12 (and possibly 13) a spanking would be in order, perhaps with some grounding added on. For a 15 and 16 year old, grounding with no amenities at home (if you can properly control it), extra chores, reduction of allowance.
