What would be considered conclusive proof that ghosts exist?

With most myths it would be physical evidence, a body/live specimen , but with ghosts this isn't that easy.

  1. I don't need logical or scientific proof - I already know, through personal experience and encounters (and I don't do drugs).

The proof is in the knowing!  (see my other answer to recent similar questions)

  2. Catch one on a camera or video

either showing themselves or saying something

  3. We do have evidence to support the idea of ghosts, but as you have said, nothing conclusive. There are photo's, EVPs, EMF detectors, temperatures, but as you said nothing conclusive.I would think that if there could be physical evidence of a ghost, it could maybe be anew element or certain chemical substance not known to us yet, that we just don't have the technology to see.Or a respected scientist investigating it themselves, using more sophisticated technology to get harder evidence of photos and the such.

  4. I do not believe that ghosts exist.

  5. A combination of positive results of the methods of investigation approved by the PRS (paranormal research society).  These methods include but are not limited to:

       - EMF detections (electromagnetic field)- based on the belief that ghosts give off engery as well as use energy around them to manifest.

       - EVP (electronic voice phenominom) -  The presence of disembodied voices recorded on a digital recorder that are not always heard at the time of recording but appear when listened to later.  These do not belong to the voice of anyone present in the room at the time of recording.

       - Manifestation that is documented.  - If a ghost manifests, it can possibly documented by a photo, a camcorder, or by heat signature.  This doesn't normally include the presence of orbs because in many cases orbs are caused by dust, or small bugs reflecting light back into the lense.

       - Personal experience that can be backed up by evidence.

Please also note that NO evidence is ever conclusive. There will always be sceptics who will attempt to discredit any findings.

  6. If a ghost wanted to prove he existed all he would need do is contact a living person and tell that person a piece of information which died with him.

That person would then have little choice except to believe that they had been contacted by a ghost.

If there were ghosts, and they wanted us to know about them, it would be surprisingly easy.

  7. A ghost, witnessed by 1000's walking up to David Cameron etc and introducing itself as the spirit of David Lloyd George and telling him how to become PM

  8. um... how about orbs...

there really isnt proof, kind like god, you either believe or you dont

  9. What is known about EM fields and the effects they have on the human brain explain what ghosts are.

A person's own belief and the power of suggestion also play a big part and the idea that we can somehow survive bodily death is comforting to many.

It's interesting to note that in every claim of "ghostly activity", when investigated by science, the "ghosts"suddenly become shy and never show themselves, it happens every time.

Just once would I like to see one shred of any of the "ghostly" claims, a good start would be for example, some claim that inanimate objects suddenly become animated or cabinet doors open and the contents within get strewn about.

Or a " ghost or spirit attack " where a person suddenly develops scratches on the body,  you never see the scratches actually appear from nothing while a camera is recording them.

"Ghosts" are not the soul or spirit of the deceased, they are a cultural phenomenon and the result of EM fields, there is even a recognized medical condition known as electrical hypersensitivity.

One's own personal belief  along with the power of suggestion and reactions to environmental cues are the perfect recipe for a "ghost".

  10. you would have to be there....  i have and i was scared to death...

  11. Good question.

I would say many people seeing it and when those many people see it at least 10% of the audience should have recorded proof. And all of them could vouch saying they say a  ghost.

  12. but what do you make of this? This is no dust if you ask me, scroll down to "many orbs" and "Thats a big orb" you can't tell me thats dust on her or when shes on stage.

thats orbs so ghost would be there too in real form.

  13. I know that ghosts exist because I saw them in "Ghostbusters".  I've seen Casper in the comics too.

  14. I am a paranormal researcher and investigator.... and I can tell you that neither spirits nor demonic spirits leave marker or slime trails or what ever to let anyone that they they have come and gone....The psychical evidence of their appearance is in the seeing or detecting... They leave nothing in our realm that we can pick up and say hey you here's the proof that you asked for... As for ectoplasm even that only last for a very short period of time even if you manage to pick some up and place it in a jar.......... So there are enough people that witness spirits and so far that is the only proof that anyone can offer you or anyone.....................

  15. There is no conclusive proof really - only proof on a personal basis.  Your own experience is the only way anything can be proved really otherwise you will never know what is true for you.
