  1. The coast on a warm day.  The dessert always cools down precipitously after sunset, but the air remains dry with very little humidity.  Humidity on the coast is a function of the evaporation of the water at its intersection with the air which is then swept landward by the air currents, raising the humidity over the land.

  2. They are about the same.

  3. The coast line on a warm day will be more humid.Water gets evaporated in the nearby sea surface and this humid air( moisture) is brought over land by sea breeze.

On the other hand, any moisture in the air will get evaporated over the desert and thus there will be no humidity over the desert. That is why we always get clear skies over desert.Even though desert cools vey rapidly in the night sometimes reaching a temperature below the freezing point, the air will be dry only without any humidity.
