  1. Air tight  will also serve as water proof.

  2. Air tight.

  3. Air tight!

  4. Strictly speaking the pressure of water is greater than air, so a water tight container is less likely to split.

Relatively speaking an astronaut would believe air tight and a submariner water tight?

Physically speaking it would totally depend on the composition of the material creating the seal.

  5. Air tight.

    The molecules are smaller.

  6. Air.............hope this helps........actually there's a place for both........but air........have a good one.

  7. depends on what n were it is?  air tight most places n water tight if under r near water !

  8. Air tight. Things that are water tight can still let air in/out, but not the other way around.

There is actually a material that's been developed recently that is totally waterproof, yet if you pass it through water, it'll let any air suspended in the liquid through. Bit like fish gills, I s'pose.

So yeah - air tight's best
