professional acting classes, go to acting camps, participate in plays, get an agent.

What do you mean? learning to act or actually learning a script for a performance?  Learnign to act is just getting to know how people react, studying body language and speech patterns.  learning a script, you would first acquaint yourself with the script, and then start figuring out how you think each line should be portrayed, motions and emotions.

Taking a class on acting or getting involved in community theatre is generally the first step people take towards acting. Once you know it's something you love and are good at then you can take it farther.

The first step is to learn the craft. Talent is a God given quality, either you have it or you don't, but there are techniques to acting which can be learned. You can have all the talent in the world, but if you don't know the basics your auditions will be short and painful.
