What would be some good High School courses to take to be a Civil Engineer?

  1. Honors and AP math courses, such as calculus. The sciences, especially physics and chemistry, will help. If you're school offers any types of engineering electives, you should take them.


  2. AP Physics and Calculus courses.  If you haven't taken Trigonometry already, take it.  It will help you down the road.  Know your physics and calculus because this is the basis for all your classes in engineering and you will be using it a lot.  If you can get these base courses out of the way in high school, that will give you more time and opportunities to take advance engineering courses in college.
