  1. Not much, as far as i know. An MBA usually gravitates towards the management side of business. A masters in economics (depending on the specialization of the degree) will lean towards policy, a career as a business economist, etc.

I would not do both, especially because a lot of MBA programs like you to have actual work experience before you enter the program. On the other hand, it is best to pursue a masters in economics right after you graduate, when the math is still fresh in your head. (Not to mention, a lot of US institutions dont even have terminal masters programs)

Were looking at quite a while before you could achieve both. (At least 4 years after receiving your undergraduate degree) And, once again, the degrees point towards different career paths.

  2. Apart from having a great economic benefit, You  would have two perspectives, the economic macro and micro level, and the business, in all its criteria. You're ready for any crisis and  socio-economic conflict;that may arise and have at the same time, a real social awareness and not fantastic view, from  human resources and the environment that surrounds it..

In other words, more value and respect human beings.

  3. There are institutions that require masters or something similar or higher for its applicants. Also, it will be easier for you to get promoted once you start working if you have both the masters and MBA.

  4. Sounds like an excuse to say in school and delay getting into the workforce.  One or the other then get out there and get a job because most of what you learn in school is irrelevant.

  5. With today's economy you be better off knowing a trade . Plumber . electrician , or HVAC/R .
