  1. The body contains a large number of bacteria. Usually they are harmless. The normal flora are even beneficial in keeping the harmful ones away.  


  2. It would be a catastrophe! Imagine what would happen if all bacteria, virii and tapeworms in your stomach would suddenly stop doing their hard daily work of keeping your body chemistry running, and would start to play with their little, um, middle pseudopodia. The effect of millions of simultaneous micro-orgasms would seriously upset your stomach, and you would probably burp loudly in public.

    On second thought, do you mean what you wrote, or is there a -ni- missing somewhere?
