  1. Depends where you are in the world, what railway you're on, and what line you're on.

    The Network Southeast area of England (as it was) had 12-car platforms for major routes. But 8-car platforms are more common - that would be just over 160m.


  2. that would depend on the railway itself and the length of the train. the platform is usually longer than the train. the number of passengers also play a factor.

  3. longest platform would be in UK 700ft  12 car train each car apx 55ft  = 660ft
