Question:

What would be the best amp to push 2 12" L7 solo barics?

i have 2 12" L7 solo barics 4ohms... the grey model. However i have it hooked up for 2 ohms and is in a ported enclosure.... what would be the best amplifier to push these subs? i was thinking a JL 1000.1 amp, rockford fosgate T1500-1bd, i want these subs to really pound.

  1. well any CEA-2006 compliant amp that will give you the proper amount of RMS wattage at either a 1 ohm load or 4 ohm load will do. your subs RMS wattage is 750 watts rms in a sealed enclosure and 600 watts rms in a ported enclosure. the two amps you listed are nice but the fosgate would be best for a sealed enclosure and the JL would be good in a ported. Kicker also has two amps that are 1 ohm stable the SX1250.1 and the KX1200.1


  2. like was already said any amp that is CEA-2006 compliant  is gonna be putting out the wattage it says brands are just brands just work on matching the rms right as for really making it pound  you will have to get a second battery or a highoutput alternator because if you dont your just wasting your money on a big amp because its not gonna be getting the power it needs
