I was wondering what type of bicycle would be best for just riding around, I'm not looking for a mountain bike though, I was wondering if normal places that sell bikes would sell the skinny wheel ones. I have to ride a bike to school for summer school, and its only like maybe a 2-3 mile ride.

  2. A touring bike is what you want, or a hybrid.........If you look around where you live, i'm sure you can find one on the cheap through the newspaper, or online.

  3. The best bikes for riding around are made by Breezer. The frame design is perfect, you can sit up straight, and you have all the extra assets already built in when you by it. They come with racks, bells, easy-to-use generator lights, kickstands, chaingaurds, reflective tires, fenders and more. On other Town Bikes, you have to buy all that stuff afterword to get the same feel as a Breezer. I have three Breezers, and I love them all. they are unlike any other bike you can get.

Breezer is a family owned business that you can trust, and owner Joe Breeze one of the inventors of the Mountain Bike (he designed and built the first purpose built mountain bike). Plus, the Breezer Villager just won the Bicycling Magazine's Editor's Award, for the best Town Bike in the country.

  4. Don't get a roadie for everyday riding. Get a comfort/hybrid. AND get it from a bike shop (NOT a department store). You'll get a quality bike that will hold up, not a gas pipe POS that you'll constantly be tweaking to keep it going.

  5. the best ones are the GT.
