What would be the best career choice for a Taurus?

Question

How about Journalism? Public relations, marketing, advertising? maybe broadcasting?

These are the things that I am interested in....planning to study in communication.

My step dad is a taurus and he is a very successful engineer and he runs his own buisness and is the boss. I think he is a very reliable, practical and smart engineer too :)

i know its really hard deciding what career is the best because i think today we have too much choice and it can be confusing, but the reason he decided to do engineering because he has always loved the beach/coast and so he became a coastal, civil and structural engineer and he gets free flights and trips to nice beaches, the family often goes with him =D

I'm not sure what type of thing your into, but perhaps you can find something you are interested is linked to a job like he did, taurus's are great bosses, very reliable and earthy.. of corse you'd know that. perhaps you'd like something where you could help people because you seem to have a caring nature. best of luck!

okay, i'm not going to talk about starsign. I've got experience in those industries and this is what i can say. Journalism is great because you get to meet and see people, and it's really sociable and nice to meet people! you get to hear ideas and opinions and that's all fun. The downside is as a career you can feel "where has my creativity gone"? If your creativity is a big part of you, try and bring that into the equation. Marketing and advertising is second good, because you get to incorpate your ideas and schemes, and get to perhaps bring a new face to a product. Just think about how important the PR for a film like Narnia is. This has more potential fun than journalism, because there is much more to explore, and you get to create lots of things and develop ideas, rather than just write a lot of words or interview people (which you can get to do in advertising/PR anyway). The next is broadcasting - well, from what I understand from what you've said, that means writing to TV shows or something. Maybe not an exciting job like promoting something is, but the thing is something that you've created gets turned into something real. Screenwriting can grow into directing, screenwriting could turn into novels, screenwriting could just remain screenwriting. Don't decide you have to "be" one thing, organise a path that will get you to where you want. For me, it's going to be finishing my degree, learning perfomance, working as an actor, publishing some stuff, become a director. There's little inbetween steps, but basically this is how I want to go, and I want to have my stuff published if and when I get a name for film stuff (I'm taking my time, letting the book come naturally. =)

I've known a few Tauruses [Taurii] in my life. They are usually aggressive, self-centered, and have a mean temper. They seem to do best in a position of authority, such as police work. One Taurus policeman I know said he loved going to work when he was in a bad mood, because it gave him an excuse to find someone and rough them up.

I'd say to forget that custard career in journalism, and do something where you can safely express your anger.  Your wife will thank you.

i think we tauruses are very versatile. we can do things that range from authoriative figured bc we make good leades, to craftsmen, to entertainers to writers, to photographer to philosophers. some of the greatest singers, (ella fitzgerald) was a taurus, and musical composers, duke ellington actors, michelle phipher, chefts, philosophers, karm marx,and freud, to authors and painters since we are creative. i thought that comment about us being moody and taking out our feelings on others is a sign os a taurus with water elements. i know many tauruses who do not behave like that. i also think that people who judge all tauruses on a select three and think they are all like that has an iq less than a socks. of couse we are always misinetrpreted for out stobborness, and other flaws, but never understood for out strengths. i also think we can make great lawyers because we are honest and objective (the excellent French  lawyer of the Revolution, Robspierre is an example). We can do anything as tauruses, and often leave outr marks obn the world for doing greatness. oh and lets not forget entrepreneurs! we re very good at diligent work and managing money. They say we are the least sign to be broke. And also models because alot of th etimes, we are often very beautiful and classy.

Hi Arch,

I think journalism and public relations reflect more of your Venus and Mars rather than your Sun. As I can see, though, your Venus falls in your 10th, which is usually connected with one's career....So that's a positive sign for that kind of choice. Also, your Mars falls in your 6th....That's a great place to have your Mars. Your Mars and Venus trine each other, which may indicate that a profession including the arts and/or public relations would be a good choice. That is also a good for your Ascendant as Leos like the spotlight and usually have a rather impressive way of presenting themselves.

Mercury and Jupiter are close...So I'd say that mental occupations may bring luck, fortune and expansion, especially when combined with Virgo in your 2nd house, which is related to the financial part.

You have lots of stuff falling in your 11th house...This may help in your public relations and may also promote a certain interest in politics or professional groups.

Overall, I think you have to find a way of combining your Fire and Earth assets...Your Air ones are very harmonically placed and I don't think they'll cause any problems. You just have to find a balancing point between the mental/concrete part of the job (Earth) and the artistic/public one (Fire).

If your Moon doesn't have a problem with all that attention, then I'd say go for it....It sounds like an interesting idea.

edit: Your 10th house starts at 26 degrees Taurus and ends at 27 degrees Gemini...Your Venus is in 16 degrees Gemini which means it falls somewhere in the middle of these 2 borders, which represent the limits of your 10th.
