I am currently four semesters (2 years) away from graduating and earning a BA in English. I am actually only 3 semesters from completing all GE and major requirements but, due to a poor freshman showing, I'll still be 5 classes short of the total 120 units we need to graduate. That means I'll be able to choose any 5 classes from the catalog I want in that final semester.
So, I'm wondering what might be some classes that would be worth taking. I won't be able to complete anything and get a minor with this one semester so I figured I do one of two things. Which might be better:
1. Take 5 business administration classes. I think it couldn't hurt to know a thing about business, even if it's just the basics. In addition, I would like to possibly try to gain admittance to a Masters program in business after getting my BA. I figured this would be the best way to make an attempt at that.
2. Taking five totally different classes. This would be a way to experience a variety of different things before graduating. What works against this is that I've already taken a decent range of classes my first two years when I was trying to decide on a major and I think it might be better to take 5 of the same area and learn a little more about that than a little about a number of different things.
What do you think? Better option? What might you do in the situation?
