What would be the best home theatre system for around $500?

I would not buy a all in one  system components are best. With an all in one when the DVD player goes all you have is an expensive radio, since it usually cost more than it is worth to get it fixed. And they are usually not wired so you can plug another DVD player in to them.

listen to Rob...im also a fan of SONY they have that bold design that other ones forgot about...and they will never let you down when you have people over to watch that awesome movie......believe me i've been using SONY for a while...they are super cool
