What would be the best lenses for my eyeglasses?

my prescription is : ( right eye: -2.25,left eye: -3.50).

A an optician (a competent one) and your optometrist... but what the others have said is good.... high index and anti reflective...

cheap glasses are just that CHEAP and they actually sometimes cause more harm than good

My cousin, for example, bought cheapo glasses on line.  Normal plastic (I dont even think they were polycarb) shes about your Rx and her lenses are as thick as mine.  High index makes your lenses thinner.  So her cheap lenses where as thick as my -8 (which are high index--does that make sense?)  My lenses that are suppose to be thick to being with are thinned due to high index, but since she doesnt have high index, her lenses are as thick as my lenses.

your lenses are a medical device that drastically improve the quality of your life... Thats all I have to say about that =)

1.6 index with anti reflection coating would be excellent.

You have a couple of choices. You can use hi-index lenses to make them as thin as possible, or you can use polycarbonate. Poly is much more impact resistant, so if you are into sports or do a lot of recreational stuff over the summer, they will provide you with the best eye safety. In addition to that they are also a thin, light lens as compared to conventional plastic lenses.

Consider an anti- reflective coating on your lenses too. This helps reduce reflection on the lenses and gives you clearer, sharper vision, especially night driving. Higher index lenses tend to be more bothersome when it comes to glare, so that will help. If you do, make sure you are getting a good quality A/R and ask about warranty on it if they scratch. (ask for Crizal by name) Some A/R's are c**p and will wear out or scratch easy. You will find these at most chain type opticals.
