What would be the best material to use for the top of a snowboard box that could withstand alot of elements?

  1. It isn't the elements you need to worry about - it is the steel edge of a snowboard scraping along it that is the problem. The best material to use is HDPE (a type of plastic) - this is the best for boxes. It isn't brittle like plexiglass and not too slick. You need to get a sheet thick enough that you can sink the screws in below the surface so that it can wear for a long time without the s***w heads ever getting exposed and scratching your board.
