  1. Join your nearest flying club -

    Clear Medicals

    Clear Ground subjects

    Obtain PPL/CPL/IR/Multi-engine Rating

    Clear ATPL

    All this is possible by the time your are 18-20 years then the sky is the limit (literally). Good luck in your proposed ventures.

  2. What kind of pilot do you wish to be?

    Private, Commercial, Airline, military?  Aviation is a pretty large profession, so if you can add details, you'll get better answers.

  3. you can start by learning to be a sport pilot or fly ultralight planes.  this is in california but you might have something similar in florida  http://www.freedomfield.com

  4. Well, i do not have much to say;

    i will advice you to go for aeronautic as a course since you want to establish a course on your own (though with a friend), and after this i am sure you won't have problem of getting your personal licence

  5. You are going to have to do some homework to find the best school for you. Check out the following for information on becoming a pilot and flight school listings:

  6. Forget everything else.  Beg your parents to drive you to the nearest small airport and then beg someone on the airport to give you job.  Start sweeping floors, pumping gas, cleaning hangars and offering to wash airplanes.  Talk to people, be enthusiastic and impress people with your desire to learn.  People will go out of their way to help you.

    Everything else will fall into place.  I'll give you a satisfaction guarantee on this one.

  7. Find an airport that sells pilot supplies.  Buy a sectional chart.  Visit the local airports.  Ask about flight instruction.  Get a medical exam from an Aviation Medical Examiner.  Buy the FAA books and study for your wirtten examination.  Start taking flight lessons.  Two lessons per day if you can afford it.  Get soloed.  Study.  Practice.  Get more lessons.  Fly some cross country flights.  Get more lessons.  Practice for the practical test.  Pass the test.  When you turn 16 you will be a Private Pilot..

  8. i spoke to a pilot and asked him the same question, re responded to me " you need $100,000 and your private licence, instrument rating double engine rating, jet engine rating, and alot of flying. they do it by hours, certain airlines require different hours. regionals require the least to become a first officer/co-pilot. not to get your hopes down but they start out earning like 18 bucks an hour but only a limmited amount of hour a month. but as time passes you move up.

    another way is to join the airforce and stay there for the time required and they will get you all the hours and all you have to do is get the courses and licences/ratings.

    this only applies to airline pilots.*******  jim is right
