  1. The insect repellent that i find that works pretty well is Citronella.....  i  have it planted in the perimeter of my patio table,  and it seems to work out pretty well.....  easy to keep... and it's safe for  pets.  I know I'm starting to sound like a commercial, but it works.

Skin So Soft by Avon, may not be a plant but a lotion, in case your looking for another solution . I  spray it on  my skin,  and i also spray it on my patio screening... that works well  also

  2. Rosemary bushes

    they are mosquito repellent basically.

its the chemicals found in those plants, which makes them act as a repellent..

u may also get a list full of plants at:

  3. azadirachta indica, it contains a lot of phytochemicals which are beneficial to us and offensive to both insects as well as microorganisms
