What would be the best processor for my motherboard "Asrock Prescott 533 P4i45GV"?

i want to upgrade my motherboard/pc, i used asrock prescott 533 p4i45gv, intel pention 4, 1.5ghz 256ram. is it possible to modify my processor into dual core?please advise if there would be a processor that compatible to my motherboard. i want to have a fast processing, can you please advise what i am going to do with my pc. thanks in advance to all who shares....

  1. Your mainboard doesn't support dual core processor so U can't use it. U can only use Pentium 4 socket 478. I don't know exactly but I think ur mainboard can support 3 Ghz processor


  2. well first off, your motherboard isnt compatible with a dual core processor. i would not buy anything before you upgrade the motherboard first. unless your planning to spend close to 400 dollars for a new motherboard, CPU, and possibly a new power supply, then dont upgrade. one thing that you can do is that you could upgrade the RAM which would make your multitasking experience on your computer much faster. anything past 2GB of RAM and you will see no improvements. right now you have 256mb and you should have 2000mb. you get the point? look for parts on newegg.com. its an awesome site and you get the best deals. if you want help with your p.c set up then just private message me and ill give you my email. thanks
