  1. be honest...just tell them...you realize that the job is not what you were thinking it would be.....who knows maybe they can find a place where you are happy...its best to be professional....

  2. dear ?????????

after careful consideration i have decided to resing my position as ??????.  my last date of employment will be ???? unless a mutal date is agreed upon.  I appreciate the opportunities that i have been given.

    thank you,

    ????????

  3. You don't give a reason in a resignation letter.  It is not to air your laundry.  It should simply state that you are resigning and give the effective date.

It is nice to say you "regretfully" resign and it is common to thank them for the experience.

If they ask about reason, try something novel - THE TRUTH.  Try it - it works and it is easy!

  4. She doesn't need to give a reason. The company can't force her to state one.

    Example:

    Dear,

This letter shall serve as notice that on August 4, 2008 I, her name, have resigned from ABC Corp.

    Sincerely,

  5. The best reason is, of course, the truth.  But many times, the truth may not be appreciated by the reader/receiver of the letter.  So, sugar-coat it.  Do not say anything negative against the company and its officials.  Your next employer will surely ask your former employers on your past performance.   Say something generic in your reason for leaving.  If you are still young, enroll in some seminars/trainings which will help you in future work assignments.  Then, use this as the reason for resigning - - that you want to better yourself.  Good luck.
