I already put up this question a few days ago about how I'm going to Italy in the summer. I want to go to Ireland for a weekend while I'm staying in Italy for school. Anybody know the best way to get from Italy to Ireland? By best I mean least expensive, safest... stuff like that. I know the rail system over there can't be beat, but would it be cheaper to go by train and then boat or the Chunnel or something, or would flying be the best option? Come on Europeans help me out!

  1. It would definitely not be cheaper by train, plus it would take days and you'd have to travel through England and Wales as well if you were going by the chunnel.  There's loads of cheap flights if you book well enough in advance, and it only takes about 2 hours to fly.

  2. I'd imagine if you are only going for the weekend you would definitely have to fly, anything else would take too long!

  3. Your best bet is to fly...Any other way would take too long..Look the internet for cheap flights.

  4. Their is simply one word that you need

    RYANAIR

  5. Oh for goodness sake, look at an atlas and have a bit of sense. It would take you days to travel by train! Fly! There are direct flights from Italy to Cork, Dublin and Shannon! Try www.aerlingus.com.
